LEGISLATIVE SPONSOR: The conference center may be used for an
activity that is not the official state business of a legislative entity
provided the activity has a legislative sponsor. Sponsored events may be
preempted by a legislative entity event at any time. A legislative sponsor must
complete a legislative sponsor form and notify the conference center scheduling
manager. A room may be reserved not earlier than 90 days in advance of the date
of the event.
PARKING: Parking is limited for all meeting rooms in the
Capitol Complex. Limited on-street parking is available, most with a two-hour
limit. Official visitor parking is available at the Visitors' Parking Garage at
13th and San Jacinto. For further advice about parking, call the Department of
Public Safety Parking Administration Office at 463-3476.
LONG-DISTANCE PHONE CALLS: Long-distance service can be
arranged by calling the Department of Information Resources at 475-HELP (4357).
Billing information must be provided before service may be used.
AUDIOVISUAL EQUIPMENT: The REJ Conference Center has white
boards, monitors, and projection screens. The central conference room has a
sound system. Please review the conference center guidelines for requirements
and limitations on use. The user must provide the user's own projector, flip
charts, signs, office supplies, etc.
INTERNET CONNECTIVITY: The REJ Conference Center has public
